We had our wedding at Lacuna Lofts, which meant we had the absolute pleasure of having LM Catering as our wedding caterer. We had so many friends and family members compliment the dinner and dessert table, saying that this was “actually delicious wedding food”! We had a number of dietary restrictions, and LM’s vast menu and options made it so easy to accommodate everyone’s needs while also making everything taste DELICIOUS! Everything was presented beautifully, and we particularly loved that the sides were served family-style, which we hadn’t seen at many weddings before. We made some changes to our picks numerous times, and Tania was so accommodating in making any and all changes we requested! Our dessert table and yummy pretzel late night snacks were huge hits with our guests, and being able to get everything – dinner, dessert, and snacks – from one vendor was so seamless. We would highly recommend LM to anyone looking for a tasty, fun wedding caterer!

Finding a caterer was probably the biggest challenge during the planning of our wedding. We needed someone who had substantial vegetarian options (my now-husband is vegetarian and has been to too many weddings where he was served steamed rice and roasted vegetables), someone who offered memorable or unusual dishes and appetizers (we're big foodies)... not to mention someone who did it WELL, at a price we could fit into our budget. Enter LM Catering & Events. We were happy to discover that they will serve outside of their own venues, and even happier when we arrived to our tasting and Gabi walked us through our menu choices. Everything was so delicious, it was tough to narrow our picks! Throughout the process, Gabi was helpful and answered any questions we had (and there were many). On the day, the team delivered not only great food, but a great experience for our guests (despite the fact that we asked them to learn to make THREE signature cocktails and modify ingredients in several appetizers). The best sign, though? We already miss the food.

Twenty Six Chicago made everything happen for us on our wedding day—and then some. This is a true gem of a space that checked all the boxes on everything we wanted: wow factor, stunning views, indoor-outdoor space, amazing food from LM Catering, incredibly hard-working staff, perfect flow, and most importantly, a truly special and memorable “feel”. So much of Twenty Six’s success is due to the incredible work ethic and elegant eye of Paulette Eastman, their Director of Catering, and her staff. Paulette’s title doesn’t begin to explain everything that Paulette is: She is a true pro in every sense of the word. Diplomat. Sorceress. Shrink. Tastemaker. Visionary. We loved her from the very first time we met her and want to be friends with her for life! Paulette worked tirelessly to make us happy every step of the process, communicated clearly, made great suggestions and was just a true delight to work with. No matter how many emails or questions we sent her, she always responded graciously and decisively. Paulette, if you are reading this, THANK YOU FOR making one of the most important days in our life absolutely perfect. It could not have gone better! The venue itself is gorgeous. The city views speak for themselves, the art deco furniture is stunning, the sprawling bar is a true “moment”, and the fact that you can customize the furniture configuration makes it so versatile. We wanted an intimate, non-cookie-cutter layout and cocktail wedding experience, and Twenty Six delivered in spades. The ceremony was outside on the beautiful terrace, followed by a cocktail reception with passed hors d’oeuvres, charcuterie, and a roaming magician performing sleight of hand. Dinner was cocktail-style, with delicious food stations that included comfort foods like loaded hot dogs, tacos, Lou Malnati’s pizza, and one of the tastiest salads you will ever enjoy. The desserts buffet was next-level, and we complimented it with our own candy bar. The DJ-style dancing was so much fun, and Twenty Six allowed us to bring in late night bites from White Castle—the groom’s favorite! Everyone and I mean everyone raved about how good the food was. You will not be disappointed by the caliber and quality. The staff was amazing. Everyone worked SO HARD and they were so polite and gracious. There wasn’t one weak link in the entire experience, and we so appreciated all of the hard work to make our day so effortlessly enjoyable. I feel like we got in early on a secret gem that won’t be so secret anymore once the word is out that Twenty Six is the perfect venue to have an intimate, one-of-a-kind wedding with your closest family and friends. So many of our guests texted us the next day that it was the “funnest” and “most magical” wedding they have every attended. Thank you so much to Twenty Six for making it happen.

Lacuna Lofts and LM Catering made our March 2024 wedding an absolute dream. Our wedding ceremony was absolutely gorgeous underneath the arch in Reverie Gallery. Cocktail hour in Magic Street was hustling and bustling with activity and happy guests. The service team during the reception was flawless. They took care of everything and we enjoyed every single minute. Our guests said that this was the best wedding they've been to and that they love the unique and interesting venue we chose. The food was out of this world. We got so many compliments on it. The chicken and steak meals were perfectly cooked, our guests adored all the dessert, especially the macarons, my mom ate at least 3 pretzels during late-night snack, and the out-of-town guests loved the mini Chicago Style Hot Dogs and sliders. The LM team goes above-and-beyond!

We can't say enough good things about our experience with Lacuna Lofts and the LM team. The venue is so beautiful (and the murals are incredible!), the staff are amazing, and overall our wedding was a dream thanks to them! We actually were about to sign a contract with another venue, but due to some communication concerns, backed out at the last minute. This left us scrambling to find a venue, and Laura swooped in and was so unbelievably accommodating! She was quick to respond and answer our questions, which we needed since we already had vendors lined up but no place to get married! When Laura left Lacuna, we were reassigned to Meagan who picked up right where Laura left off. She was communicative, easy to work with, and answered my questions (sometimes multiple times when I forgot the answers...) and was on top of everything. The venue is beautiful and we felt we barely had to add any decor with the string lights and city view. However, THE FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. We got so many compliments on the food, everything was cooked to perfection, and the staff were quick with getting our guests fed. They were friendly, helpful, and so accommodating (when one guest who is a surgeon got caught in the operating room, they still set his plate aside and brought it out as soon as they saw him get in during our speeches!). I can't say enough good things about Lacuna. If you're considering them for your venue or catering, I guarantee you won't find better!

The weekend Cora and I had for our wedding at Sky on Nine can only be boiled down to one word: magical. Lesley and the team at Sky on Nine did everything needed to make this day (and the ones before and after) an experience my brain can’t help but go back through constantly. We felt the service provided with this venue was the complete package. Lesley/Venue: Working with Lesley was so seamless. We started working with her soon before the venue opened up, and we were given multiple tours as the venue was being fully put together. The vision was there the first time we took our first steps on the venue floor, and it blew our expectations out of the water by the time the venue was fully complete for events. The 270 degree view of the airport and surrounding area gave the venue a feeling of life and possibilities as well as access to the bridal suite and rooms for close family on the 9th floor was really convenient. It was so spacious, 250+ people could easily enjoy an event here (we had around 180). We had the ceremony on the 9th, cocktail hour on the first for the reception to be set up, and then the rest of the night was on the 9th. The sunset was gorgeous and the chandeliers really stood out to us. We really wanted the “elegant minimalistic” look, and we found it in spades. Lesley worked with our other vendors (DJ, Binny’s, we did DIY flowers) and had no hiccups during the course of the weekend. She was responsive, lovely to get to know, and was the point person for the entire year we spent planning the event. Catering: The food was a-ma-zing. The variety of apps to choose from was awesome (our fave were the tomato soup/grilled cheese mini shooters and scallops), vegetarian/vegan options (carrot quinoa cake was outstanding) and amazing chicken and steak options. The food came out on our wedding day the same it did for our tasting. The bar tenders and servers did a wonderful job and seemed to be on the same page from start to finish. We added some Lou’s pizza and dessert treat for later in the night, and it was a great touch, would recommend! We also had the ballroom where the cocktail hour was hosted available prior to the weekend to store flowers and other items during the weekend which was nice. Overall, I simply can’t wait to show our kids the immaculate day I had at this place, and we thank everyone involved. We felt the pricing was competitive to the dozen other places we toured and hope this event blesses you as much as it did us.
